Dr. Kawnish Kirtania completed his M.Sc. and B.Sc. in Chemical Engineering from Bangladesh University of Engineering and Technology (BUET). Following that, he moved to Monash University, Australia to earn his PhD in Chemical Engineering in 2014. Post PhD, he had worked at Lulea University of Technology, Sweden as a Post-doctoral researcher (2015-2017) to work on pilot scale catalytic gasification of biomass to produce liquid biofuel.

Currently, working as a faculty at the Department of Chemical Eng., BUET, Dr. Kawnish Kirtania is involved in a number of interdisciplinary research projects. He has published more than 35 scientific papers in international peer reviewed journals with two book chapters (elsevier) and made more than 30 conference contributions. He has been also serving as a reviewer for 17 international journals.
